Blogger Interview: kautekouture

For my third and first interview of the new year, I picked Katarina from
kautekouture on both Tumblr and Blogspot! I am a huge fan of her blogs and love seeing her posts on my dashboard! To find out more, read our interview below!

Tell me a little about yourself?

My name is Katarina, I’m 19 years old and from Copenhagen in Denmark. I study English at University and run the blog kautekouture.com and the Tumblr blog kautekouture.tumblr.com!

How did you start blogging?
I’ve loved to read blogs for as long as I can remember and I think around 4 years ago I started my first blog, which I didn’t really have a clear idea about so that didn’t last very long. Last spring I decided to start a blog on Tumblr and from there on I decided that it was something I really liked and wanted to do more seriously, so I started this blog!

What would you say your blog is about?

Mainly fashion, definitely. I post my own outfits, my take on how I would style different pieces or items from a collection. I do love beauty and lifestyle blogging as well, so there’s bound to be posts about that as well, but I try to stick to fashion!

How would describe your personal style?
This is one of the hardest questions people ask me, because I have no idea! I like elements from so many different styles and just try to incorporate them all into my own style, really. I definitely like to follow trends, but I’m a big fan of timeless pieces as well.

Who are your favourite bloggers?
I get tonnes of inspiration from so many different bloggers but fashion-wise I love Danielle Bernstein from weworewhat.com and Julie Sarinana from sincerelyjules.com! Make-up/lifestyle wise, my favourite blogs and youtube channels are Tanya Burr and Fleur De Force.

Name one item in your closet you can’t live without and why?
Either my black Topshop Leigh jeans or a leather jacket. The jeans are my go-to for everything and I just think a leather jacket can make and outfit a zillion times better.

What is currently on your wishlist?
I’ve seen this gorgeous longline blazer from Monki that I’m trying to track down and I’m also on the lookout for everything with a lace hem, basically.

What trends do you think should never become popular?
This is tough, because if you had asked me 2 years ago if I would ever wear dungarees I would have said NO, but now they’re one of my favourite pieces of clothing. Trends are so unpredictable, and suddenly a piece you originally thought was disgusting will be styled so it looks fabulous.
