I'd Rather be at Coachella

Hi everyone! Over these next weekends it's the famous Coachella festival and the clothes worn will be great inspiration for the Spring. Hello there! How are you? It's coming to the end of the month, so I thought I'd do my "Favourites of the Month" post. These items are once which I have used recently on my Polyvore. Hopefully you like them too!

01. Minibags and satchels are two of my favourite bags and too see them combined into one is great! I love the design and colours. It's a simple and casual look, perfect for all seasons!

02. Converse are one of my favourite shoes. They are great for any look and a staple piece for your wardrobe.

03. Tube scarfs are a musthave for winter. Super cute and cozy to snuggle into when it's chilly.

04. A circle skirt is one of the easiest things to work an outfit around. They go well with blouse, crop jumpers and coats!

05. Thick coats are another must for winter. The cute burgundy colour is different and what makes me like this coat so much.

06. As you probably can tell, I love striped shirts. I love the black and white on this shirt from Mirabella.

Hello guys! In todays post I am interviewing the lovely Giulia! We have been following each other for nearly a year and I've loved seeing all her outfits of the days and inspiration. To find out more, read below!

Tell me a little about yourself?

My name is Giulia and I’m 17 years old, I’m turning 18 in May. Ever since a young age I have lived in and travelled to numerous countries, I just love exploring new places! I currently live in Switzerland but study in England. I’m bilingual, speaking both English and Italian fluently whilst learning French at school. I run the blog thetrendbible.tumblr.com and trendbible.blogspot.co.uk.

How did you start blogging?

I’ve always been surrounded by fashion, both my parent's love dressing up whether it’s for events or a family day out, so it rubbed off on me too! I would look at personal style blogs for outfit inspirations, and then I decided to create a polyvore account (giuliabardelli.polyvore.com) so that I could plan outfits with clothes, I’m sure any girl would dream to have! I started by making my own style blog on Tumblr in December of 2012. The community is so friendly and has grown significantly since then!

What would you say your blog is about?

My Tumblr style blog is place where my followers can ask me any questions related to fashion and where I post all of my polyvore sets. I tend to also reblog photos or quotes that inspire me. It’s more of a canvas of what goes on inside of my head, as opposed to my blogspot where I stick to the key theme of fashion and my travels.

How would describe your personal style?

I’d say my style is quite versatile, I love changing things up for different occasions. One day you’ll see me wearing a dress, the next I’ll be lounging around in sweatpants, true story! I say comfort is the key element when putting together an outfit and also statement jewellery! I love adding a bit of edge to my outfits with a leather jacket and some rings.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Magazines! Since I travel a lot, it’s crucial for me to have something to read when waiting for my flight. Polyvore and Pinterest are also a great online source for outfit inspiration. When I go out I will also be looking at the street style (one of the reasons why I love Fashion Week) for inspiration! There are so many ways to get inspired that are right in front of us.

Who are your favourite bloggers?

I’ve been following Jess of Tuulavintage since 2011 and she’s definitely been one of my biggest inspirations, I’ll check her blog at least once a week and I always find myself scrolling through her Instagram. I also love Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat as she always amazes me with the outfit she puts together. Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast and Margaret Zhang of Shine By Three are also some of my favourites. 

Name one item in your closet you can’t live without and why?

My trusty pair of black Topshop Joni jeans! I love how you’re able to find a fit according to your height and waist size. Also, who doesn’t love a good pair of comfortable black jeans? As for shoes, I’m currently obsessing over my leopard pony hair Kurt Geiger slip-ons! Slip-ons in general add a more skater vibe to an outfit and I’m loving that right now.

What is currently on your wishlist?

That’s a difficult question! I’m in desperate need of a graduation dress so I’d say that! Or a black or camel coloured longline coat - I can’t get enough of them!

What trends do you think should never become popular? 

It’s difficult, because I think there’s a time and place for every trend. However, now that I’ve said that, I don’t think a lace corset top would fit any situation apart from a Halloween party.

Hi everyone! How are you all? I thought in todays post and in order to finish of Febuary, I should do my "Favourites of the Month". Each of these items I've seen on Polyvore and ended up using numerous times! I hope you like them as much as I do.

01. I first saw the bag on Polyvore and loved it! It's such a lovely colour and with the pop print of leopard, it was super unique. It looks great with all the sets I've posted on Polyvore and perfect for the Spring/Summer!

02. Aren't these boots amazing? I love their design and the different colour heel. They suit any outfit as you may have seen on my Polyvore. Once again Topshop have produced great boots for all seasons!

03. Patterned shorts are super trendy this season. They can be so easily dressed up or down and suit any weather. The cream and black print go so well together.

04. Camouflage jackets are a staple piece in my opinion. They suit anything and everything. I've recently used this jacket from Owntherunway.com in my sets and love the way it looks. 

05. Simply patterned jeans are another favourite for me this month. I am loving the light-wash denim and the polka-dot design is really cute. And the cropped style just makes them even better!

06. At the moment I am loving all things cropped and this jumper is definitely one! The fluffy texture makes it even better for that cold weather and keeps you feeling snuggly!

Tell me a little about yourself?

My names Grace and I’m 15 years old. I live in Beverly Hills, CA but grew up mostly in all around England and France. I speak fluent French, English, and Vietnamese! How did you start blogging?

To be quiet honest I made a fashion blog because I was bored, I’ve always loved fashion but never thought that I could pursue it as a career and when my friends told me to join them on the tumblr fashion blog community I decided to try it out! 

What would you say your blog is about?

My personal fashion, my style, and my style inspiration! I’m very meticulous on what I reblog and I must like the outfit from head to toe! My tumblr is 95% fashion but I always love talking to my followers and love trying to help their problems that aren’t necessarily fashion related! And my blogspot is mostly about me, what I like, reviews, tips and tricks! 

How would describe your personal style?

It really depends on my mood to be quiet honest! I range from girly girl with Peter Pan collared blouses/dresses to vintage band tees but at the same time I’m very into comfort I like my simple black and white v necks and converses or chelsea boots, comfort and monochrome is very important to me! I always say my style is like Danielle Bernstein meets Courtney Tropp meets Nicole Alyse meets Eleanor Calder meets Kylie Jenner meets Kendall Jenner meets Sofia Richie meets Zoe Sugg.

I thought I would make an updated wardrobe essentials post as Polyvore have recently made a contest about style essentials. I have narrowed the list down to only the basic items you need to create any style of outfit! If you scroll down I've also jotted a few points as to why these are the best things to mix-and-match with!

Outfits of the Month

Hey everyone, I hope you're having a lovely day! I recently tried to think of more ways to keep this blog going especially as I'm getting into the tougher stages of high school, so this is one of my ideas! I thought I would gather a small selection of my favourite Polyvore creations from the past few weeks and make a post all about them! 

This has always being one of my favourite looks for winter! It would be super cozy and warm in the cold temperatures. I love the cream colour of the jumper and scarf against the parka jacket! Also a pair of thick, fluffy socks to line the wellingtons are a must!

For this set I went with a cream cardigan from Monki, a simple oversize striped shirt, black jeans, Topshop chelsea boots and a cute tote bag from Asos! I personally think this is a great outfit for everyday wear, it's cute and comfortable which is perfect! 

This outfit is what I'd wear to a special dinner out or semi-formal event during the colder months! I chose a grey jacket from H&M, which I am absolutely loving! I just love staple items such as a plain blouse and basic jeans, especially the contrast of black and white! I also chose a cute Marc Jacobs watch, brown fedora from Reiss, Madewell ankle boots and a Reece Hudson Bowery Small Duffel Bag! A simple red scarf was a cute addition, helping make a statement! A definite favourite outfit!

I love this simple outfit, perfect for a university/college/school day! A flannel can be a great addition on a chilly day and it really helps the look with the outfit. Chelsea books and a Reece Hudson Bowery Bag are also great pieces for this outfit. 

For the last outfit, I chose a Steven Alan parka, a striped shirt and ripped black jeans. I love this look and the brown accents on the boot ties well with the Reiss fedora! I'd love to wear this outfit on a casual day out or for meeting up with friends! With the ankle boots, it gives you a sneaky bit of extra height!

Embrace the Cold

Hey guys! Due to the major snow storms and cold weather hitting America over the past for weeks, I've had numerous messages asking how to dress in the bitterly cold weather! My advice is layering and here are some ideas of how to do that while still looking fabulous!

01. I saw this purse in a Witchery store near where I live and I loved it! It isn't great for a wallet but super cute as a clutch purse for going out where you don't need to carry a lot!

02. I recently saw these boots on Polyvore and loved them. I have used them in countless sets and they go well with everything. Keeping up with the cutout trend too!

03. Cath Kidston sell some lovely things and their patterns are super cute! I'm not too fussed on having hundreds of phone cases (unlike some people I know!) but this is one I'd love to get!

03. Again with the Pantone case! I'd seen a few pictures of them floating around on Tumblr and thought it was different but simple case. Another one I'd love to get!

04. A large trend recently is hats! Although this fedora is a way over budget it's super cute and there is no problem using it for inspiration!

05. I have fancied buying a pair of leather shorts for a while but none of them really where what I was looking for. I love the girly detailing along the bottom!

06. I first saw this jacket on Eleanor Calder and fell in love. I think it's a ideal jacket for the winter weather and it pairs so well with black jeans. Definitely on my wish list! 

07. Jumpers are my favourite winter item, especially a simple cream one! Must-have in any wardrobe!

08. I use so many rings in my Polyvore sets as it just ties the outfit together! I love the mix of different styles and textures - super cute!
